The Web Accelerator Client is a breakthrough in web technology that uses a
proprietary compression on text, html, xml, javascript and style sheets. Proprietary
image compression is applied to gif images, jpeg images and Flash content. Web Accelerator also accelerates email traffic (POP3 and SMTP) using a lossless compression. • The recommended system requirements are a Pentium PC 200MHz with 64MB of RAM and at least 5 MB of hard-disk space. On a Macintosh computer, a PowerPC G3 processor with OS X 10.2 (or later) with 333Mhz and 128MB RAM and 6MB of hard drive space is the minimum requirement.

How does it work?
• With traditional dial-up methods, the text and graphics that make up web pages get sent from the server to you over your phone line. Because of the large amount of data required to be sent, this process can be painfully slow. Our Web Accelerator compresses this data using a proprietary technology, and sends it over your existing dialup phone line. This compression process allows a smaller amount of data to be sent – up to six times less – making the download time of your web pages and your online experience that much faster. As an added download time reducer, Our Web Accelerator stores elements of the web sites you visit frequently, eliminating the need to re-download them every time you visit these sites.

• To achieve the fastest web and email acceleration available, proprietary lossless compression is applied to text, html, xml, javascript and style sheets. Proprietary image compression is applied to gif images, jpeg images and Flash content. Our Accelerator also accelerates email traffic, and is compatible with any POP3/SMTP client, including Outlook Express, Eudora and Netscape Mail. Our Web Accelerator will not currently accelerate file downloads such as music files, or streaming video or audio media.

  • Pop-Up Blocker - block annoying pop-up advertisements while surfing!
    Our Web Accelerator can prevent pop-up windows and floating flash advertisements from appearing while you browse the Internet. This feature is enabled by default, and no user-intervention is required. However, you can also easily disable this features at any time. Our Web Accelerator allows you to specify a "White List" of sites where pop-ups will not be blocked and you can also see a list of all pop-ups that were blocked.
  • Banner-Ad Blocking - Stop the ads, and surf faster!
    Our Web Accelerator can block many graphical advertisements that appear on web pages (i.e. ad banners). Enabling this feature will prevent these ads from being downloaded and displayed in your browser, reducing download time.
